Second day into the trip & being chased by the baddies already, we thought the war was over as we entered Germany.

  Made it to Dover, the hardest part of the trip was leaving home, all still a little bit sad at this point. 

  Steve & Leon soon conquered the first battle! 

  Found our favorite hotel, stumbelled on we  have used twice already on recent trips, we were made welcome once again

  If you look carefully you can see where the shell pierced the tank through its 2″ steel armour ( didn’t realise Steves cannon was so powerful but good shot by Phil ). This is actually the tank Bourg LA Reinen from the twelveth crusade that was put out of action on 22 Nov 1944 at this location, at the time of the liberation of Phalsborg.

   All strapped down on the ferry to Callis, up to first class for a glass of Chanpagne!

   Only two days in & we arn’t sure we are cut out for this roughing it, don’t know how we are going to last six months!!
